We’re Back Under A New Name

June 6th, 2008 Me

One month ago I got severely upset with our city, it’s officials and city council’s lack of professionalism and sound decision making. I got so irritated we contacted a real estate agent and considered putting our house on the market and leave this place behind. At that time I decided to take my website (WheresTehachapi.com) off line as I no longer was proud to be a citizen of this town and wanted nothing to do with Tehachapi any more.

Over the past month I’ve talked to a few people about the issues and my website. What I’ve realized is that pulling my site won’t help change anything. Someone said to me “it’s shame to loose a great community resource like wherestehachapi.com”.

After much deliberation I decided to bring the site back online under a new name.. TehachapiDaily.com. My hopes are that the people who are truly frustrated with this town and the way it’s run and seek change will register and voice their opinions.

Welcome back “home” Sam. You were very much missed. Like you, and many others here, I’ve “Been There, Done That” in my similar frustrations with other Cities. But, there’s one thing I’ve come to know. The grass is NOT any greener on the other side of the fence. If we don’t like the way things are we CAN change them. If we all stick together we can forge a new way for the City of Tehachapi. I’m doing my part by running for a Council seat in November and urge everyone to visit my Campaign website at:
    http://www.jim-richards-for-city-council.com
and let me know what your concerns and frustrations are and I will do the very best I can, if I am elected.

Sam I am so glad you decided to come back online. Our freedom of political speech is the most important freedom that we have. We, the public, can make a change and we not only can, we MUST, fight City Hall.

You are in the information business because you love it. Please don’t ever let anyone take that from you. Fight for your right to be heard and to not be bullied out of business by Shane Reed. He will be a disaster if he is appointed or voted in as a council member. People with “anger management” issues should not be in public service.

We must fight this recall of Stan Beckham that Shane Reed has proposed, along with Grimes and Hand. Beckham is the only one that is demonstrating that he cares about what happens to Tehachapi and its citzens. He is the only one asking tough questions and that appears to be concerned about the City’s budget. Look at his Web site http://www.StanBeckham.com and see what is happening in this city.

Sam great to have you back. We need you as a news resource in this town. If ANYONE out there would care to run for one of the two council seats that is coming available PLEASE contact Stan Beckham at 822-1907 or Stan@StanBeckham.com SOON! The filing dates are coming up in July. We NEED reasonable, intelligent people with a vision of the direction for Tehachapi. People with business, military or entreprenurial backgrounds, and last but not least COMMON SENSE.

Public service can be rewarding when you have the ability to make positive changes.
