Que Pasa in Tehachapi, Ca

September 23rd, 2007 TheFoodCritic

The newest restaurant addition to the Tehachapi area needs help! I ate some chicken tacos and ordered a chicken strip kids meal for my daughter. The chicken from both meals was very dry and the tortillas were stale.

If you look up from your plate there are cobwebs in the ceiling and loose insulation! Isn’t this a brand new building? I’ve eaten at the Que Pasa in Bakersfield also and it was awful. By far the worst mexican food ever. How do they mess it up?

In short, don’t go!

I agree with you. They will answer to the law of supply and demand. Don Perico’s is FAR superior in every respect. If and/or when Que Pasa goes bankrupt I hope they replace it with an In ‘N Out Burger or Trader Joe’s!

Yes, Don Perico’s is so much better. I like Domingo’s too. But I definitely agree that we should have an In n Out Burger & a Trader Joe’s in Tehachapi. I really wish Trader Joe’s would come in because so many people say they would shop there. I know it would be a successful store.

Big nods to Domingo’s. I LOVE that place. There isn’t a single bad item on the menu and I’ve tried just about all of them. And if you feel like splurging, try the Cadillac margaritas. They are the best I’ve had anywhere.

We went to Domingo’s for a birthday celebration and it was great. I did get a margarita and it was sooo good. I couldn’t even drink it all, they aren’t shy about the tequila. And they give out a fun polaroid of the birthday person. It’s a great time but the aisles and seating can be a bit crowded.

I have been to Que Pasa three times with my family and each time, my meal lacked flavor.
Service is also slow for some reason..
Go to Don Juan’s.. and… yest to IN N’ OUT and TRADER JOE’s!!!!

I’ve eaten there 3 times as well. First time was bad…….in restaurant, but the next 2 trips were in the bar area. I found the food good and the service acceptable. I hate Domingos….it’s dirty and the food is never the same. I had a friend eat a Don Perico’s and got very sick. Domingo’s in Boron is much better.
