The post slug option on the right hand side of your screen gives your post a file name. You should give your post a slug. When slugging your post, keep it to a maximum of 3 words and use dashes (-) to separate each word and use all lower case letters without any periods (.). The slug can have the same words that are in the title and can be shortened if needed. A sample slug for a post titled ‘Tehachapi Wine Festival: October 18, 2007′ would be ‘tehachapi-wine-festival’.

The title tag is the words that appears at the very top of the browser screen in the blue bar. Title tags are used by the search engines and other search functions. They also title the tags of the open windows on the users monitor. Using the title tag option is a plus for you.
Your title tag should be related to what it is you are writing and should begin with Tehachapi Daily but doesn’t have to. Use dashes (-) to seperate phrases and leave periods (.) out. A sample title tag for an upcoming event in Tehachapi might look like this: Tehachapi Daily – October Wine Festival in Tehachapi, CA
