The thinly veiled attempt to unseat Stan Beckham and replace him with an “appointment” of Daniel Shane Reed is very apparent to most of us who attend the Council meetings. Hell, Reed doesn’t even attend those meetings so how does he know what’s going on? The “Gang Of Four” now seated on the Council don’t want any change in how they run the City and their shills at City Hall are all in league to keep the citizens of Tehachapi in the dark? Will the voters wake up to this? I guess we won’t really know intil November. What do you think?

The gears are turning and plans are in the works to build a new City Hall in Tehachapi. The current City Hall building is getting too small and has poorly ventilated server rooms.
Are you familiar with the new locations proposed for the new Tehachapi City Hall building? If you aren’t you should learn more about the two locations and the benefits of each. One proposed location is at the corner of Valley Blvd. & Curry St. The building would be located within a shopping center.
The second location is proposed to be in Capital Hills near the post office and hospital. Before you decide which location you think is better read these documents then cast your vote.

It’s rather disappointing to read the news headlines because all we hear about are Hillary and Obama. These two candidates are hoarding the media while the more important candidates… the ones who could actually make a difference in this country go unnoticed
I support Ron Paul in 2008. I’ve asked a few people if they’ve ever heard of him and most say “yes.. he’s got some good ideas but he doesn’t stand a chance.”
If you think he doesn’t stand a chance but you like him.. doesn’t it make sense to support him and ask others to do the same.
I’ll be dammed if I ever cast a vote for Hillary Clinton.. she already had her chance in office with Bill. Plus in my eyes… if a women can’t be ordained a priest then a women shouldn’t be allowed to be president.
And Obama. Geez… how can you vote a man who refuses to put his hand over his heart or salute during the Pledge of Allegiance. Talk about un-American.
We still have several months before the election. On election if you feel you are voting for the lesser of two evils (Obama or Clinton).. why not make a statement with your vote.. Vote for Ron Paul in 2008.

A great read… very accurate description of the hard working American (aka.. the white man).
This Article “In election 2008, don’t forget Angry White Man“ was originally published in the Aspen Times Weekly by Gary Hubbell o February 9, 2008.

The Tehachapi City Council voted against an outside 3rd party Audit of the City Books. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend the meeting this past Monday and I haven’t heard the audio yet… but from what I’ve heard is the Council members took the motion very personally. Now many are asking why? That’s a great question. The better question is what are you hiding Mayor Hand and Council Member Smith? What are you afraid will turn up?

There have been a few emails that have come across my desk in the last couple of days regarding inappropriate use of funds by city officials.
Attend the City Council Meeting on January 7, 2008
Join the next meeting at the Veterans Hall on January 7, 2008. City Councilman Stan Beckham will be calling for an Audit of the City Books. Come voice your opinion. The people of Tehachapi need to step in and learn what the city has been hiding from the people for too many years.
Hope to see you all at the meeting!

Many are still questioning whether or not Stephen Colbert is joking about his run for the presidency in 2008. From the looks of his website, http://www.stephencolbert08.com/it appears that yes he is running.
Quite honestly, I think the fact that he is really running is hysterical and at the same time I’m quite relieved. There is somebody on the ballet who can do the job and be true to his country… I think I’d vote for him.
See it for yourself on this video clip.
On the downside there is an article over at ABC News about his current sponsorships from his comedy show violates election laws.

Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to
recognize that the vast majority of
America supports our troops. Our idea
of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect
starts this Friday — and continues each and every Friday until the troops
all come home, sending a deafening message that .. every red-blooded
American who supports our men and women afar, will wear something red.
By word of mouth, press, TV — let’s make the
United States on every
Friday a sea of red much like a hom e coming football game in the
bleachers.
If every one of us who loves this country will share this with
acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will not be long before
the USA is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once “silent”
majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media
lets on.
The first thing a soldier says when asked “What can we do to make things
better for you?” is. “We need your support and your prayers.” Let’s get
the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear
something red every Friday.
