Brite Lake – Tehachapi, California
Brite Lake is a man-made lake controlled by the Tehachapi Valley Parks and Recreation District. The lake offers both tent sites and camping with hook-ups and a dumping station. Brite Lake’s 90 acres also has day use areas with picnic tables and ample parking. You can fish in Brite Lake after the last Saturday of April through the last Sunday of October; a permit is required.
Driving Directions
Brite Lake is located on Banducci Road in Tehachapi, just off the intersection of Highway 202 and Highline Road. From Hwy 58 traveling East, take the Tehachapi Blvd exit and turn right on Tucker Road. Travel through one traffic light and turn right on Hwy 202. Follow Hwy 202 for about 3 minutes. Turn left on Banducci Road. Follow Banducci Road to the right when the road forks. The park entrance is on the right side of the road. Fees are required for camping and day use at Brite Lake. (If you’re traveling West, take the last Tehachapi exit marked Tehachapi Blvd. and follow the above directions.)
